BIOGRAPHY  


Reverend Dr. Corinthea Stack


Rev. Dr. Corinthea Stack is the son of Phamalda and the late Jessie Mae Stack. He is one of ten siblings. He grew up and was raised in Orangeburg County in the town of North, South Carolina. He attended the public school system there and graduated in 1978 as Salutatorian of his class. While attending school, he was enlisted with the Army Reserves and  upon graduation from high school, he attended the Citadel and later transferred to Methodist College,  Fayetteville, North Carolina. He commissioned with the United States Army and later resigned to join the United States Marine Corps in January 1985. He achieved the rank of Lt. Colonel in 1995 and was medically retired in December of 1996.

Rev. Dr. Stack  and his wife,  Lynn, have been married for 32 years.  They have two children: Andre (Stephanie) Kessler and Myesha Stack, two  grandchildren,  and  four guard children.

Rev. Dr.  Stack was awarded the Navy Commendation Medal award on four occasions and the Navy Achievement Medal on three occasions. He is a Desert Shield/Desert Storm Veteran. He has been awarded many Unit Citations for Leadership and Command.

Rev. Dr.  Stack holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Math and Physical Education from Methodist College, Fayetteville, North Carolina. He  earned a his Masters of Divinity Degree in Pastoral Leadership and Pastoral Counseling from Columbia International University, Columbia, South Carolina. His terminal degree, a Doctorate of Theology, was awarded  from His Excellence Theological Seminary through the Charleston, South Carolina Campus and Canton, Ohio Campus.


Rev. Dr.  Stack is presently a retired Chaplain II with the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice, where he served for twenty-five years and four months. His tenure earned him Supervisor of the Year twice for and many awards for Service Merit. He was a Master Trainer with the South Carolina Department of Corrections, where he was certified in weapons training, chemical training, defensive tactics, cell extraction, emergency preparedness, and SUPERVISORY Training at all levels. He served seven years on the Rapid Response Team as part of riot control.

Rev. Dr. Stack is currently  Board Certified with the National Chaplaincy Board. He was  recently awarded and presented the Presidential National Community Service Award July 2017.

 Rev. Dr. Corinthia Stack is currently serving as the pastor of Bethel AME Church, St. Matthews, SC.
