BIOGRAPHY

Rev. James Peeples

My name is Pastor James L. Peeples, Sr., and I reside in Neeses, South Carolina. I have been married to my lovely wife Deloris Peeples for 37 years and we have been blessed with 4 children, 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

I am the full time Pastor at Haynes Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Lone Star, South Carolina. I am employed by JTEKT as a Supervisor for the past 20 years. In my spare time, I enjoy fishing, traveling and spending time with my family.

I was called to ministry many years ago, but I fought that feeling. I knew God was calling me to serve him, but I was not ready to accept the challenge that he was trying to give me. I remember sitting in church one Sunday morning and I heard Him (God) clearly say “You can’t keep running”. On that day I knew that I was ready to complete the task at hand. God was telling me that I can run all day, but eventually I would get tired of running.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in 2010 from Allen University. I completed the requirements for a Master’s Degree of Divinity from Shaw University May 2020. Ordination Service was April 3, 2021, at Allen University, Columbia, South Carolina.

My motto is “I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me”.
